Terms of service
The terms that govern this website, and a note about what governs the transport itself.
1. Using this website
This site is provided for information. The transit times, rates and technical figures published here are indicative and describe typical conditions. They are not an offer and they do not form part of any contract. A price is binding only when we issue a written quotation for your specific shipment.
2. Freight services
Transport and forwarding services are provided under the standard forwarding conditions applicable in Romania and, for international carriage, under the relevant international conventions: CMR for road, the Hague-Visby rules for sea, the Montreal Convention for air and CIM for rail. These set the carrier liability limits, which are calculated per kilogram or per package rather than on the value of your goods.
3. Accuracy of information you give us
Quotations and customs declarations are prepared from the information you supply. If weights, dimensions, commodity codes, values or the nature of the goods are stated incorrectly, additional costs, penalties and delays arising from that are for your account. This is why we check documents against each other before filing.
4. Intellectual property
The text, design and images on this site belong to Global Cargo Spedition unless stated otherwise. You may quote and link to it freely with attribution. You may not republish it wholesale as your own.
5. External links
Where we link to other sites we do so because the material is useful. We have no control over their content and take no responsibility for it.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes fall to the competent courts of Romania, without prejudice to any mandatory jurisdiction rules in the transport conventions referred to above.
