The European workhorse

Road freight across Europe

Road is how most goods actually leave Romania. We run full and part loads to every major European market, with departures several times a week and transit times you can plan a production schedule around.

Inside Europe, road freight is the default for good reason. It is the only mode that goes from your loading dock to the receiving dock without a transfer, the transit times are short enough for just in time supply, and the cost sits comfortably between rail and air. From Oradea, western Europe is genuinely close: Germany in two days, Italy in two, France in three, Spain in four.

We operate both FTL, where a truck is dedicated to your load, and LTL, where you pay only for the metres of loading floor you occupy. FTL makes sense above roughly fourteen loading metres or when the goods must not be handled in transit. Below that, part loads are substantially cheaper and, on our scheduled lanes, barely slower.

The practical difference between forwarders on road freight is not the rate, it is what happens when something goes wrong. A truck breaks down, a border queue doubles, a receiver refuses a delivery slot. We keep a named person on each file who calls you before you have to call us, and who has the authority to re-plan rather than just report.

What we take care of

  • Loading anywhere in Romania, including multi-stop collections
  • CMR issue and transport documentation
  • Customs clearance for non-EU destinations and transit documents
  • Cabotage compliant planning inside the destination country
  • Cargo insurance above the CMR liability limit on request
  • Scheduled delivery slot booking with large receivers
  • ADR classified goods within the permitted classes
  • Proof of delivery returned in digital form

What we do

FTL, full truck loads

Dedicated tilt, box and mega trailers up to 24 tonnes and 100 cubic metres, direct from loading point to delivery point.

LTL and part loads

Priced per loading metre or pallet space on scheduled departures, for consignments between one pallet and half a trailer.

Express and double crewed

Two drivers running in shifts when a standard transit is not fast enough, typically halving the time on long lanes.

ADR dangerous goods

Licensed drivers and compliant equipment for the ADR classes that move by road, with the correct transport documents.

GPS tracked throughout

Position and estimated arrival available on request at any point, and proactively when a delay becomes likely.

Temperature controlled

Reefer and fresh trailers with recorded temperature logs, for goods that have a specified range to hold.

How it works

  1. 1

    Give us the load

Loading metres or pallets, gross weight, loading and delivery postcodes, plus any slot booking or equipment requirement.

  2. 2

    We confirm space and price

A firm rate with a firm loading date, not a range. For part loads we confirm the next scheduled departure on the lane.

  3. 3

    Collection and transit

The truck arrives inside the agreed window, the CMR is issued and the shipment is tracked to destination.

  4. 4

    Delivery and proof

Delivery inside the booked slot, with signed proof of delivery returned to you digitally.

Frequently asked questions

What is a loading metre and why does it matter?

A loading metre is one metre of trailer floor across its full width, roughly two standard Euro pallets side by side. Part loads are priced on loading metres rather than weight, because floor space is what the truck actually runs out of first. A light shipment that blocks four metres of floor is billed as four metres, whatever it weighs.

How much does CMR insurance actually cover?

The CMR convention limits carrier liability to 8.33 SDR per kilogram of gross weight, which is roughly ten to eleven euro per kilogram. For a pallet of electronics that is nowhere near the value at risk. If your goods are worth meaningfully more than that per kilogram, take separate all risks cargo insurance, which we can arrange.

Can you deliver to a specific time slot?

Yes. Most large retailers and manufacturers require a booked slot, and a truck that arrives without one is usually turned away. We book the slot as part of the file and plan the transit to hit it. Tell us at the quotation stage if a slot system applies, because it affects the routing.

Do you handle multi-stop loads?

Regularly. Collections from several suppliers into one truck, or one load distributed to several delivery points, are both normal. Each additional stop adds cost and time, so we price them explicitly rather than hiding them in the rate.

Tell us what you need to move.

Send the supplier city or port of loading, the volume and weight, and the date the goods are ready. We will come back with a landed cost and a realistic transit time, usually within one working day.
